If you do not own your own horse, you can purchase lessons on our school horses. Lessons, depending on the student’s riding ability, will last between 40 – 60 minutes for riders ages 6 and up. 30 minutes lessons are available for younger children ages 5 and under, speak to an instructor for details. We teach students who have never ridden before as well as students who have had extensive past experience. All clients also learn how to care for their horses both before and after their lesson in order to develop their overall horsemanship.
Meet four of our much loved and appreciated lesson horses;
Sheiko-Say – Sheiko had a long career in the large pony division before he settled into the job he loves now as a lesson horse at TPF. He is the type the kids can climb all over, takes part in camp every year and is a very important part of TPF.
Peggy Sue – Peggy Sue was bred locally at the Mission Viejo Ranch, then joined the TPF family when she was 3 years old. She’s an all around girl, from Western to English, and roping and trail to the most popular girl in summer camp.
Wild Card – Vegas came to the us from Canada as a 9 year old, then had a successful career as a Jumper and Equitation horse here in the States. Over the last few years he has taught several of the young TPF riders to make the transition from recreational to show riders.
George Almighty – George has been a part of the TPF family since 2006. They don’t get better than this guy when it comes to learning to jump and start a show career. He’s been Champion at I.E.L. and the Orange County Horse Show Association Championship show more times than we can count. His show record speaks for it’s self.
